The diwan is a traditional gathering place of connectivity throughout WANA. It is a culturally significant space where Bedouin peoples, for example, meet to discuss relevant matters and share their knowledges, histories, and identities. It is also a place where members host events, visitors, and guests.
A parternship and knowledge incubator in Montréal that brings together social justice resources and serves as a hub of practice and sharing for local agents, organizations, and policy-makers in Québec. It is where PLEDJ implements trainings and reverse knowledge transfer programs, for example focusing on: cross-community reciprocal learning; narrative exchanges; and knowledge mobilizations.
PLEDJ's Diwan is a networking place for people-to-people networks, innovation, collaboration, and training where new ideas are allowed to flourish in practice between different communities and Global South organizations in the city.
